The north of the island hides the most beautifulareas of the island. El Sauzal and surroundings El Sauzal is full of secret corners only known bylocals. Enjoy the views of the Lavaderos Park;have a walk and take a bath on the coast of Rojas (picture above); or get lost among the little houses of the small fisher village of El Caletón (picture below), where you can try fresh fish caught by locals that same day. Puerto de la Cruz The northern metropoli. Walking through its old town and its fishing port or taking a bath in one of the first tourist destinations worldwide is a real pleasure. Do not forget to visit the nearby Loro Park, the best zoo in the world according to Tripadvisor. Valle de la Orotava Descend through the green valley to the village, where you will be conquered by its colonial architecture while walking through its historic center. Do not forget to visit their old mansions and eat in one of them as Casa Lercaro. Nearby you will also find the magnificent beaches of El Bollullo and Los Patos. Icod de los vinos Meet the giant Drago Milenario, the oldest tree in the island, where you feel the smallness of the human being and the course of the centuries. Visit the Cave of the Wind, a huge volcanic tube on the side of the mountain. Garachico Enjoy its natural pools formed by the last eruption of the Teide in 1706, try the fresh fish of the area and, above all, the Malvasia wine that left from its port and that conquered Shakespeare: "But, i´faith you have drunk too much canaries, and that´s a marvelous searching wine, and it perfumes the blood ere one can say: what's this?" (Henry IV, Part II, Act II, Scene IV) LA CÚSPIDE EL NORTE: LA BELLEZA VERDE El Norte de la isla esconde las zonas más bellas de la isla. El Sauzal y alrededores El Sauzal está repleto de rincones secretos solo conocidos por los locales. Disfruta de las vistas del parque de los Lavaderos; pasea y date un baño en la costa de Rojas; o piérdete entre las casitas del pequeño pueblo pesquero de El Caletón, donde podrás probar pescado fresco capturado por los locales ese mismo día. Puerto de la Cruz La metrópoli del norte. Caminar por su casco antiguo, pasear por su puerto pesquero o darse un baño en uno de los primeros destinos turísticos a nivel mundial es un placer. No olvidéis visitar el cercano Loro Park, el mejor parque zoológico del mundo según Tripadvisor. El Valle de la Orotava Desciende por el verde valle hasta el pueblo, donde te conquistará su arquitectura colonial mientras paseas por su casco histórico. No dejes de visitar sus viejas casonas y comer en una de ellas,como Casa Lercaro. Muy cerca también encontrarás las magníficas playas de el Bollullo y Los Patos. Icod de los vinos Conoce el gigantesco Drago Milenario, e lárbol más antiguo de la isla, a cuyo lado sientes la pequeñez del ser humano y el transcurso de los siglos (foto arriba). Visita la Cueva del viento, un enorme tubo volcánico en la ladera de la montaña. Garachico Disfruta de sus piscinas naturales formadas por la última erupción del Teide en 1706, prueba el pescado fresco de la zona y, sobre todo, el vino Malvasía que partía de su puerto y que conquistó a Shakespeare: “Por mi fe que habéis bebido demasiado vino canario, un vino maravilloso y penetrante que perfuma la sangre antes de que se pueda decir: ¿qué es esto?” (Enrique VI, Segunda parte, acto II, escena IV).

The south of the island has a privileged weather all year round. Although it is cold in the north, it will always be sunny in the south! El Médano Without the large agglomerations that you will find further south, the town of El Médano still has a cozy charm. Stroll through its streets and visit the Red Square market on the seashore. One of our favorite beaches is nearby: La Tejita, from which you can see Montaña Roja. At the end of the beach, cool down with a beer in "Elchiringuito pirata" Los Cristianos and Playa de las AméricasThe nerve center of the south of the island. Here you will find everything you need: bars, restaurants, shopping centers, nightlife ... We recommend Playa de las Vistas and Playa de las Américas. If you are looking for a drink during the day or night, Monkey Beach and Papagayo Beach Club, next to Troya Beach (picture below), are highly recommended. Do not miss visiting the Siam Mall and the Siam Park, the best water theme park in the world according to Tripadvisor. Do not think it simply is another theme park, you've never seen anything similar! Other beaches Do not forget to take a bath in the peculiar natural monument of yellow mountain (picture above), where you will also find a chiringuito in which to take the aperitif. Finally, the recondite "Playa Salvaje de Diego Hernández" requires abit of walking but this makes it one of the most special on the island. Remember to wear comfortable shoes. EL SUR DE LA ISLA: LA TIERRA DEL SOL El sur de la isla goza de un clima privilegiado todo el año. Aunque en el norte pueda hacer frío, ¡en el sur siempre hará sol! El Médano Sin las grandes aglomeraciones que encontrarás más al sur, el pueblo de El Médano sigue teniendo un encanto acogedor. Pasea por sus calles y visita el mercado de la Plaza Roja a la orilla del mar. Una de nuestras playas favoritas se encuentra cerca: La Tejita, desde la que se observa Montaña Roja (foto de abajo). Al terminar la playa, refréscate con una cerveza en "El chiringuito pirata". Los Cristianos y Playa de las Américas El centro neurálgico del sur de la isla. Aquí encontrarás todo lo que necesites: bares, restaurantes, centros comerciales, vida nocturna... Te recomendamos la Playa de las Vistas y la Playa de las Américas. Si buscas tomar una copa durante el día o la noche, el Monkey Beach y el Papagayo Beach Club, junto a la Playa de Troya son muy recomendables. No dejes de visitar en la zona el Siam Mall y el Siam Park, el mejor parque acuático del mundo según Tripadvisor. No pienses que es un parque temático más, ¡nunca has visto nada similar! Otras playas No dejéis de daros un baño en el peculiar monumento natural de montaña amarilla, donde también encontraréis un chiringuito en el que tomar el aperitivo. Por último, la recóndita"Playa Salvaje de Diego Hernández" requierecaminar un poco pero esto la convierteen una de las más especiales de la isla. Recuerda llevar calzado cómodo.
