Houston is a big city. You can always have something to do, but these are my favorites.
Houston Zoo

This is one of the few places you can see White Tigers in the US. Yes it is an aquarium with an amazing collection of fish, but they also have rides and games and play areas for the kids to play in the water.

Galveston is our favorite beach in the area. It has a lot to do off and on the beach including an amusement pear, deep sea fishing, historic homes and museums. It is an excellent day trip.
