Restaurants
Here are a few of the local restaurants and pubs. There is an excellent range in the area; quite a few are walkable from the house. These are only places we would recommend after trying them and there are other places to try.
Run by Paul Ainsworth, it is a really nice pub with amazing food. It looks over the Camel Estuary and you can see the oyster and mussel beds whilst you eat them!

Great place for the whole family to eat and perfect for a sunset drink. They do locally sourced food on small plates and giant pizzas, which are excellent. The beer is all from Harbour brewery, which owns it.

Great food truck on the beach. They make lobster nights and great breakfasts. From two former Rick Stein employees, it’s a family favourite. It’s at the far end of Polzeath beach, in baby bay.

Under new ownership and it’s now great. Only sustainable fish, can highly recommend the sole and monkfish bites. Can be busy but its worth the wait. closes at 8pm

Flo's Kitchen
Dunders HillIn the village, this has a selection of nice salads and sandwiches for takeaway.
This is the pub very close to the house. It’s has just been renovated and has great view and is very family friendly. The food is average pub fare but good value.

Surfside Polzeath
Just re opened, the rum bar at the back is very fun
Nice coffee and very good hot chocolates. Pasties are good here too. They also have a pizza van outside in the summer, which does great takeaway to sit on the beach and eat.

Another place with a great view from inside and out. Fresh seafood and very family friendly. We can recommend the popcorn shrimp and a beer at sunset.

This is a lovely pub about 15 minutes drive away from the house, down windy roads into a charming village. The food is local and delicious, and if it's sunny, the garden is lovely to sit in. It’s a family favourite.

The hotel has two restaurants, one more formal and the other by the pool. Sitting by the pool is lovely and the view is great, you can also use the spa and there is a Cowshed spa in the hotel.

Great pub in lovely Port Gaverne. The food is super and the pub has loads of character. Park at the top car park in Port Issac and walk down.

This is the best fish and chip restaurant in the area.... we think. The lemon sole is amazing. Be careful of the seagulls. If you get takeaway there are seats around the back of the building. Queues can be annoying

Lots of people get supermarket deliveries but there are also great food shops locally. Wadebridge has a great fruit and veg shop and a large Tesco, Aldi and Lidl.
Pre prepared food which is good quality and they also sell bread and the amazing cinnamon buns. You have to try them!

All the produce is from the farm itself. They supply all the local restaurants and the quality is amazing. If you can get some, the pardon peppers they grow are amazing and the sausages are from the pigs on the farm.
