Affordable Spa / Salon Time

LA's Eastside and Koreatown neighborhoods full of affordable spas, bath houses, and salons. From 24 hour family friendly saunas to amazing Thai massages - there's a spa for everyone.
In Korean culture, the bathhouse is considered a place where one can socialize with family and friends or treat oneself regularly. Wi Spa in particular is a family friendly bathhouse, with a communal closed unisex area, bathing quarters for males and females, a gym, beauty services, a restaurant, and several different saunas and pools. It's open 24hrs/7days a week and can be a bit chaotic but it's a safe and friendly place for anyone new to Korean spa culture. It's also one of the few bathhouses that allow children as well. Many bathhouses also offer other services such as facials, manicures but one should call in and book ahead. Wi Spa is located on the border between DTLA (MacArthur Park) and Koreatown. If you are taking the train, get off at any DTLA stop and take a short uber ride down Wilshire.

Located in Chinatown, Spaahbulous is one of the cheaper massage places you'll find in LA. Most massages are done sitting in a chair, although you can pay a little extra for a table. They changed their prices all the time but you can book an hour long foot massage for about $30. They are usually booked up on weekends so call ahead. If you're taking the train, take the Goldline and get off on the Chinatown stop.
