You´ll be staying in our town of Kópavogur. The town is full of locals, not so many tourists here, so take the opportunity to live like a local while you´re here in Iceland.
Eat breakfast at our bakeries, swim in the local geothermal swimming pools, walk in the hills around the capital, be Icelandic!
You must visit our swimming pools. Kópavogslaug is one of the best. Take a dip in the hot tubs, relax in the steam room, or swim a few lengths.

Yes, we have a beach here.
The sea is heated to tolerable temperatures...seriously it is.
If it's a warm summers day, this is the place to be!

Perlan is the huge glass dome building that you can see from the apartment window on the horizon.
Here you can go into an exhibition called the wonders of Iceland, really recommend it. There's a man made ice cave (cold -12 celcius), an exhibition about volcanos. Lots to see and do. A little pricey but worth it.
There's also a revolving restaurant on the top floor, and a viewing platform.
