I love this place. Pricy but worth it for a really great meal, prepared by talented chefs. The menu is ecletic with lots of locally grown products.

This is the valley's ultimate family pub with live music Friday nights that pack in the locals. Kid and visitor friendly. You might end up sharing a table with strangers and leave as friends. Menus change often but tend towards burgers and pub food.

For great wine and sampling check out Lost River just north of the main area of Winthrop. A portion of the profits from Community Red, a terrific blend, go to community organizations. They also have a nice wine club. My favorite is the hearty Barbera.

Outdoors

You cannot go wrong skiing, biking or hiking along the Methow Community Trail which winds its way along the Methow River through the north part of the valley into Winthrop. From Sunny Pines you can access the trail from the Tawlkes Foster Suspension Bridge about one mile north on Goat Creek Road. Turn left. It is about one-quarter mile from the trailhead to the bridge where there is a covered picnic area. The walk is great for all ages. For more mileage continue on the trail towards Browns Farm.
