Neighborhoods

Like neighbouring Moseley, Kings Heath is bohemian and has a great music scene. The high street has lots of shops and bars and the side roads off the high street boast great restaurants.

Just like Kings Heath, Moseley also has great restaurants. The award-winning Farmer's market is held on the last Saturday of each month from 9am-2pm.

Birmingham's City centre has everything to offer: Great shops, theatre, music and food. At Christmas there's a German market - the largest outside Germany. You won't be bored!

Parks and Sports

Birmingham's main park (though Kings Heath has lots of others). There's a couple of large children's playgrounds, a boating lake, a small fairground and an excellent mini golf course (well - two courses). Obviously there's more than enough space to run around and the park is great for a jog in the morning. If you can get to the bandstand near the crazy golf course by 9am on a Saturday you can join hundreds of other for a free 5k park run. The MAC (Midlands Art Centre) is also based in the park. It often has a free exhibition and there's a cafe and a bar - oh ! and a cinema. You can book other activities. Kids entertainment tends to sell out fast.

It's for cricket! Tip: you can park for free on Queensbridge road and it's a 15 min walk - anything nearer gets coned off on match days.

bars & restaurants

Toys and books to keep kids entertained. Great for brunch.
THE live music venue in Birmingham. Duran Duran started out playing here. There's two stages upstairs and two bars downstairs. No food is served and it's quiet during the day. A beautiful and huge Victorian pub

In the heart of the city. You can take canal boat trips near here too. It's a bit pricey but there's nothing quite like it.
