A Live Oak fixture for 40 years and probably the best food in town. Try the fried shrimp or fried shrimp and fish dinner. Both are battered to perfection and it will be about the best shrimp you've ever tasted. Other favorite is the Monterey Chicken.
The atmosphere is "local pub" but it's totally family friendly.
Carry out and phone-in orders welcome. Open for Lunch and Dinner, Monday thru Friday. Closed on Saturday and Sundays.

More than a restaurant, its also a complete Mexican grocery store and has an attached laundromat.
The atmosphere is "bright" and not especially inviting but the food is reasonably priced and GREAT!
