Sightseeing

Lake Koocanusa is a 90 mile long reservoir, and one of the many sandy beaches and boat access points is located 5 minutes from our guesthouse. It offers incredible water recreation opportunities. There is also a network of trails on the shoreline, winding up and down the water providing a great view and good exercise. If you drive across the Koocanusa Bridge, you can get a whole different view from the West Kootenai.

A 25 minute drive from Eureka up Grave Creek Road will bring you to the Ten Lakes Scenic Area, the breathtakingly beautiful range just over the mountain from Glacier National Park. There are dozens of hikes accessible here, varying in difficulty and distance, but all rewarding in the view you will find. If you are looking for fishing, you can drive right to the Therriault Lakes. A short hike will bring you to several others in the area.
