Outdoors

Great dog-friendly local place to cool off. It’s a 5 min drive and even on weekends it’s usually not too busy. There are no facilities here and no rentals. You can hike around the lake (takes about 1 hour and the trail is very easy) just be aware that the trail goes around and you come out on the road. Do not hike this trail in twilight!

Well maintained and clearly marked hiking trails. Definitely download and bring a map to use on your phone. They also have paper maps at the trail head if you forget. The trails are sloped and steep enough between the flat parts for good exercise, but not tough. There are a variety of loops to tailor your timing. Even if you get lost and take the longest loop you'll probably get back to your car before dusk. The trails go through forest and around a small lake. Nice in all 4 seasons. No huge vistas just attractive hiking. One drawback is that rt. 84 remains a distant hum in the background.

Charles is an incredible reflexologist. Due to the pandemic he’s working privately in his shop by appointment only. You can book excellent back and full body massages here as well but I highly recommend his specialty.
