My favorite view of the bridge is from Marin Headlands. And best time to go is right before sunset.

If you ever wondered where those wedding photos with the gorgeous bridge backdrop were taken, this is it! A locals’ favorite to take in the unobstructed view of the bridge and the ocean and enjoy a glass of chardonnay while listening to the waves crashing ashore.

One of the best hikes in the city, and off the path of the scenic coastal highway. Highway recommend you hike down from the trail to the hidden beach. You won’t regret it. Great spot to visit any time of the year, but especially in the spring when all the wild flowers bloom.

Underrated beach south of SF, great spot for beginner surfers, leisure hikers, or beachgoers. If you want to experience that NorCal beach vibe, this is a convenient spot off the coastal highway. Lunch or dinner at Peruvian Puerto 27 offers great ocean views.

Danish village off the coastal highway. Great spot to stop by or even spend the night depending on how much time you have. A bit touristy, but the Danish connections makes it unique and worth a visit nonetheless.

This fishing town is a great stop for lunch as you make your way south from SF. Plenty of decent options for fresh fish, crab, oysters, or clam chowder
