This is not really a hike, rather it is a walk to a spectacular waterfall. It is great for all ages. Not difficult at all.

Sightseeing

There is lots to see around here. I've listed a few things but the web will have much more.
It's worth the $1 entrance fee to walk the majestic gardens. Be sure to visit the greenhouses and rhododendrons as well. It's a must see in the spring and early summer when the Rhodies are in bloom.

From the north viewpoint you’ll take in the Hood Canal Bridge, Mount Baker and a swath of the Cascades extending into British Columbia. Turn left and enjoy the sweep of the north end of the eastern Olympics – Constance, Warrior, Welch Peaks and Townsend. The south viewpoint gives you the long view down the Hood Canal, to Mounts Rainier and St. Helens and the comparatively puny man-made scenery of the Seattle and Tacoma skylines. Winter hikers might need snowshoes or microspikes. Some will trudge up totting cross country skis and double pole their way down the snow covered road.

Shopping, restaurants, galleries

Poulsbo is a thriving community with many amenities that attract tourists. With its picturesque downtown core of rosemaled storefronts and shopping areas at Poulsbo Village, along Viking Avenue, Poulsbo offers much to citizens and guests alike. These include several beautiful parks throughout the city, a boardwalk along Liberty Bay, the Valborg Oyen Public Library, three marinas, interesting gift shops, delicious bakeries and panoramic views of Liberty Bay and the Olympic Mountains.
