I love the bar on the 16th floor, the view is amazing! I would go on a weekday, during the weekend they charge a small cloak room fee to get in.

A roof top bar in the city centre. I always take my foreign friends here for a drink. I like the stairs that take you upstairs into this intimate small room. Drinks are a bit pricey but I think worth it.

Dock boards close to Olympic Village take you to Lammassaari and further along to Kuusiluoto where you can see sheep in the summer. A great place to make bonfire also!

One of the highest (natural) places you can get in Helsinki. It has history, you can see the anti-aircraft guns standing on top of the hill from the Second World War. It’s a great place to learn history and have a picnic.

This Unesco site needs no introduction but I would check the schedule of the ferries departing to Tallinn or Stockholm and visit when the massive ship sails between Suomenlinna and Vallisaari. You won’t forget seeing that!

A wooden garden city built in the early 1920's for the working class. Architects Martti Välikangas and Akseli Toivanen. My favourite place in the city!
