Wineries

The Central Coast is one of the premier wine regions fo California. Two are located within a few miles of Peacock Hill. Laetitia and Peacock Cellars. Outdoor wine tastings are available. Just a short drive away is the famed Edna Valley wine area with numerous wonderful wineries including Sextant, Baileyana, Edna, Wolff and many more. Contact me to arrange for a special walking Food Tour in San Luis Obispo with Angee. Outstanding experience with this knowledgable, fun and entertaining hostess.
Great food. Owned by same family for almost 100 years and famous for the amazing steaks cooked over red oak fire BBQ. Real American country experience.

If you love authentic French food, great service and THE most spectacular ocean view--this is not to be missed. Famed French chef Jose Dahan from Toulouse, France has prepared an outstanding menu of French favorites. The French wine list is incredible.

City advice

Don't miss

So many gorgeous spots on the central coast of California!

Thank you for booking with us for your trip to the Central Coast of California. You will LOVE it here. Our property is very beautiful, and I try to do everything possible for you to be comfortable and enjoy visiting with us. I look forward to your stay. With kind regards, Jacqueline THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AREA OF CALIFORNIA !!!!! Most people wish they had booked for more than one night. THINGS TO SEE AND DO ON THE CENTRAL COAST: In Nipomo, we have a California historic sight-the Dana Adobe House. The oldest house in California built in the 1800s and fully restored. Docent-led tours are available. Restaurants include the famous Jocko's Steakhouse (here for almost 100 years with amazing grilled steaks and a great old Western experience). Also, Pi Whole Pizza, Las Cazuelas Mexican, Burton’s Grill (seafood and steak), Thai Restaurant, and California Sushi. For a unique Americana small town breakfast—I can highly recommend the Mayor’s Place. Laetitia Winery is just a few miles north of us; lovely setting to sample wonderful central coast wine and champagne. This general area has over 400 wineries throughout the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. This area is now well-recognized for its outstanding vineyards and wines. About 10 miles north is the Arroyo Grande Village. Exit Grand Avenue and turn right. Antique stores, shops, and restaurants. Very cute, walkable town. Avila Beach-just 15 minute drive is a beautiful beach, a great little town with shops, bars, wine, and restaurants. Great place for kids with an Aquarium and play area. At the end of the road is the pier with fishing, restaurants and a local favorite café "Fat Cats". Pismo Beach- surfing beach--not as nice as Avila but a unique classic California experience. My favorite Italian Restaurant, Giuseppes. Also fabulous restaurants with spectacular ocean views. Edna Valley area is a beautiful countryside area with many excellent wineries. San Luis Obispo-- a lovely small, walkable city with lots of stores and restaurants. 25 miles north on Highway 101. Beautiful drive either through Edna Valley or along the coast route. Further north about 40 miles is Morro Bay. Another gorgeous place is Montana de Oro State Park. Great place to go for a hike and picnic. There are lots of other great hiking areas including on our property.
