In summer, the drama "Unto These Hills" tells the tribal story at the outdoor Mountainside Theatre. The nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park features campgrounds and Appalachian hiking trails.

OTR is not really in Hot Springs, it's in Spring Creek, township 8 of Hot Springs proper. This means a whole lot of country. Here I am listing a couple places not registered with Google so this is the only way to post them. First is the best burger ever right in the heart of Spring Creek next to the fire station!! Open 11:30-7:30 Tues-Sat & Sun from 12-4

The best local spot I can recommend is the local swimming hole. The water is super cold so be sure to bring dry towels. It's on your way to Hot Springs town. There's no road sign for this little road, but if you see Garenflo Gap you've passed it. Also look at street view and you will see it's right before where hwy 209 takes a sharp right and the beginning of Garenflo Gap.
