66 Raymend Road, Bristol, BS3 4QW http://www.thevictoriapark.co.uk/ This is only 2 doors up the road so is very handy. The pizzas are delicious and are good value and it is the kind of place a single female would feel comfortable on her own. The rest of the food and drink is a bit pricey but is very good quality - try the fish and massive chips!

City advice

Getting around

Bristol is a hilly city...

... which is a great way to walk off all that lovely food that you're going to eat whilst staying in Bristol! We live near the top of a hill called Windmill Hill. This means that you get amazing views from your room but there is a short steep hill to walk up if you are coming from Bedminster Parade and through Victoria Park. If you want to take things easy, get the bus to St John's Lane (90, 91) rather than to Bedminster Parade (75, 76). It is only a short walk uphill from St John's Lane. Or you can walk around the bottom of the park rather than going up the steep but very pretty steps.
