As the name says, this is a MEAT restaurant! They have probably the best ribs in the city. Books up pretty fast (they have several locations) its best to make a reservation. This is also one of the few restaurants that stays open late and offers late night dining until 03.00.

Noord is the up and coming neighbourhood of Amsterdam. Located across the IJ behind central station, it can be reached by metro or ferry. There are many restaurants, also the EYE film museum is located there. Another great area is t' Twiske, a large nature reserve in Noord.

Many new bars, cafes, restaurants and little shops, especially in the Javastraat make this a vibrant and cool area. Restaurants like Bar Basquiat, Benji's or vijfnulvijf are great for a snack, lunch or dinner. Also in this area, the Tropenmuseum, a great museum next to the lovely Oosterpark.
