A well made path leads along the coast to Duntulm Castle from a bend in the main road a few hundred yards to its south-east. Parking is purely at side of the road. A sign on the gate at the start of the path notes that the castle is structurally unstable and that "for your safety you are advised not to proceed beyond the castle fence line". Spectacular place for sunsets also!

Loch Shianta is a precious place. Pick a quiet time to visit as we hope that only a precious few will take the opportunity to visit. One feature of this area is a hidden holy well. Holy wells were very important in medieval times. Tobar Loch Shianta was considered the most celebrated healing well in Skye. Please leave this place as you find it. We want this to remain a hidden gem.
