Fukushima Prefecture Minamiaizu [Ouchijuku] prospered as a post town on the important road connecting Aizuwakamatsu and Nikko Imaichi during the Edo period.
Even today, private houses with thatched roofs are lined up along the highway without changing the features of the Edo period.
* Because there is only one road, it will be congested during the peak season.

現在も江戸時代の面影そのままに茅葺屋根の民家が街道沿いに建ち並び、昭和56年には国選定重要伝統的建造物郡保存地区に指定されています。

Iimoriyama is 2 km east of Aizuwakamatsu city and is a small mountain overlooking the castle town.
There are nine tombs of the White Tiger Corps, the tombs of the threety-one men who died in various places, monuments from Italy and Germany, Sazado, Uga Shrine, Itsukushima Shrine, the Tora of the White Tiger Corps, and the city natural memorial Many myths and historic sites remain, such as the Tayu cherry tree.
Nowadays, it is known as the place where the White Tiger Corps was self-defeated during the Aizu spirit of “Naru Naru Hana Naru” and the Samurai War. Many people still visit the tombstones surrounded by trees, and the incense smoke never stops in front of the tombs on the mountainside.
飯盛山は、会津若松市街の東２キロにあり、城下町を一望に見渡す小高い山で、その頂上には約１６５０年～１７００年前につくられた前方後円墳であり、隠れキリシタンの祠もあり、地元滝沢村住民の共同墓地でもある。そして古くは古代四道将軍、弁財天、日本武尊などの神話も残り、１６００年以上、連綿と会津盆地を見守る信仰の山です。
ここには、白虎隊十九士の墓、各地で戦死した三十一士の墓や、イタリア並びにドイツから贈られた記念碑、さざえ堂、宇賀神堂、厳島神社、白虎隊引揚の洞門、市天然記念物の太夫桜など、数多くの神話、史跡名所が残っております。
また、ふもとには戊辰戦争時には会津藩の本陣となり、藩主松平容保公が白虎隊士に戸の口原への出陣を命じた『旧滝沢本陣』、２０１３年ＮＨＫ大河ドラマ八重の桜のオープニングで使われた市天然記念物の『石部桜』がある。
現在では、『ならぬことはならぬ』の会津精神、戊辰戦争の折に、白虎隊が自刃した地として知られあまりにも有名です。木々に囲まれ並ぶ墓石には今もなお訪れる人が多く、山腹の墓前には御線香の煙が絶えることはありません。

Tsuruga Castle is a ladder-type Hirayama castle, with Nishidemaru, Kitademaru, Ninomaru, and Sannomaru around the main circle. Located at the southern end of the castle town, it was the center of Aizu politics as the government office of the Aizu clan. The Aizu Matsudaira family, the owner of the lord, was closely related to the Tokugawa shogunate and became a battlefield of the Sakai War at the end of the Edo period. Currently, the ruins of the castle are Tsurugajo Park, most of which are designated as national historic sites.
From JR Aizuwakamatsu Station, take the route bus route 4 in the city, Tomoe Maki, via Takanori-cho, bound for Takada and Nagaino, and get off at Tsurugajo West Exit.
Alternatively, take the tour bus “Hikara” or “Akabee” and get off at “Tsuruga Castle Entrance” or “Tsuruga Castle Sannomaru Exit”. 5 minutes on foot.
/鶴ヶ城は梯郭式の平山城で、本丸を中心に西出丸、北出丸、二の丸、三の丸が周囲に配置されていた。城下町の南端に位置し、会津藩の政庁として会津の政治の中心であった。藩主の会津松平家は徳川将軍家と密接な関係にあり幕末には戊辰戦争の激戦地となった。現在、城跡は「鶴ヶ城公園」となっており、そのほとんどが国の史跡に指定されている。
JR会津若松駅より路線バス市内4コース、芦の牧、年貢町経由高田・永井野行きなどに乗車し「鶴ヶ城西口」下車。
またはまちなか周遊バス「ハイカラさん」または「あかべぇ」に乗車し「鶴ヶ城入口」または「鶴ヶ城三の丸口」下車。徒歩5分。
