Arts and Culture

the contemporary art outpost of the MoMA! PS1 has parties called Warm-Ups every Saturday in the summertime and often host live performance art on Sundays. Always quite cutting edge and provocative, the space itself is quite cool, I believe it is the oldest modern public school building in NYC.

beautiful spot with a great view. The giant neon Pepsi Cola sign is a surviving peace of Americana amongst the condos. This park is also a ferry landing, which is a handy way to get around (if you have a destination!)

Bars

high-quality cocktails, the first of its kind when LIC was just an industrial no-fly zone. I believe the have a good happy hour but don’t quote me on that one!

Neighborhoods

the neighborhood at the nucleus of the Amazon controversy and our next-door neighbor! LIC is a major nexus, where Brooklyn and Queens kiss (via the Pulaski Bridge), and home to many great things. Some stuff that we like is included in this guide.
