The pizza parlor across the street has great ice cream.

Starting at six there's a free program of Hawaiian music presented by local musicians. They play and "talk story" which is Hawaiian slang for visiting and exchanging stories, ideas, or news. It's free. Bring your own food and drink. Bring your chairs and picnic basket and stake out your claim at 4:00, then go back to the beach club till the fun starts around 5:30.
