Local Area

Kingsmoor is in a quiet location overlooking the village of Box. Box is a lovely village to live in. It has a couple of decent pubs, a great Indian restaurant (BYO), a butchers, post office and general store. The main A4 leads directly into Bath, or Corsham and Chippenham in the other direction. It has a large recreation ground with tennis courts, bowling, cricket pitch, football and kids playground. All in all - v nice!

Sightseeing

Bath is a special place to visit, just a 20min drive, or bus ride from Box. It's a lovely city to stroll and look around with plenty of historic attractions. Along with the historical bits it's also a great place for shopping, eating and entertainment. Can get very busy in the high season and a bugger to park. A bus in and out is a better option.

One of the best adventure playgrounds I've ever seen. Unfortunately the kids enjoyed themselves too much and got in my way. Think a 30yrs+ policy would be an improvement.

As hinted in the name, you'll find some stones here and a great deal of expensive mumbo-jumbo merchandise to buy.

More stones, Druids and the occasional Witch. Well worth a visit though.

Lovely country town with lots to do and see for it's size. Can get busy and limited parking. A couple of great places to eat - Thai and Italian especially.

A local village, very pretty. It's old and has been used as the setting for many a period drama. The approach roads can also be a bit of a drama - quite narrow and busy in the summer.

Another lovely, small village often used as a film set. You can spend your money on all sorts of Harry Potter nonsense here.
