Lots of new restaurants and a couple of places to shop. The new Golden One Center is located here where the Kings play and concerts are performed. Free activities are sometimes happening in the DOCO center.

Reservations need to made for this place way ahead of time but it is Sacramento's FIRST Michelin star restaurant. It is incredibly delicious and you will have a fun time. Worth every penny. (Ask for extra cookies, they are the best cookies I have ever had!)

Museum

Art museum that originally was just in a magnificent home, but was recently expanded to include more art. The second thursday of every month there is an adult only event in the evenings called ArtMix where alcohol is sold and there are different themes every month.

Neighborhoods

This neighborhood is where the movie Lady Bird was based out of and you can find all of the filming locations (her favorite blue house, the neon sign of Club Raven...). The homes in this area are gorgeous! Around Christmas every street has a light theme and it is really nice to walk around with some hot chocolate and take everything in. McKinley Park in East Sacramento is really lovely, there is a pond with ducks, large grassy areas, playground, and a rose garden!

City advice

Getting around

We do not recommend walking towards Broadway street.

This is not a safe part of Sacramento. Streets are safe until you pass W st. Driving and riding a bike are okay, we just don't recommend walking.
