Favourite spot for a cheap big breakfast and great coffee. You also cant go past all the delicious sweets ( almond croissant is my favourite) and all the fresh salad rolls and hot pies! All the bread is baked on site! Cash only!

Take a walk along the coastline, the pier and beach. Numerous beach hotspots. Main beach great for people watching and BBQ. You can find locals fishing off the pier. The local mussel farm allows you to buy fresh mussels straight off the boat. And you will also find the Port Philip Ferry services that docks at Portarlington pier to Docklands, Melbourne.
Portarlington has a true local feel so please smile and say hello to the locals as you walk past them.
Over summer there is a carnival at the main beach aswell as the famous Donut Van. Fresh hot jam donuts!! Highly recommend you try them. Even if there is a long line. Well worth the wait.
Local market runs every last sunday of the month in the park up on the hill. Arts & Crafts, plants, food stores.
A new playground has been built in the area so make sure you take the kids while you relax and enjoy the views.
The town centre has a shopping strip where you will fid everything you need. Woolworths, pharmacy, newsagency, post office and Bendigo bank. In between you will find a few gift shops, lolly and ice creamery, pub, fish and chips, pizza, Indian and Chinese restaurants, bakery, cafes, op shops and hairdressers. ohhh and a wine bar.
Portarlington Golf course is a well know course and nice for a meal.
