This is our go-to place here in Rhinebeck. Has a little bit of everything, but at least one of us orders the Rigatoni every time to make the other jealous.

We go here on Wednesdays to meet our fellow Pub Quiz teammates. We have high hopes but usually come in 2nd. (Booo!) Great farm to table burgers! Owned by Gerard Hurley from Cork, Ireland. An authentic Irish bar. The quaint town of Tivoli is adorable and about a 20 minute drive north.

Breakfast? Yes! Head here to either grab your coffee and pastry and head out, or order from the more extensive menu and be seated in the dining room. Excellent menu. I always love their soups and especially the avocado toast. Probably the best coffee in town.

Can’t decide if we like the rigatoni better here or Market St. SO AMAZING! Great wine selection and excellent food! Gigi’s never disappoints. Fun fact: Chelsea Clinton had her rehearsal dinner here when she was married in Rhinebeck.

Good pub food. If there’s a football game you want to catch while having a couple beers, the bar is great. Be prepared to be seated next to some locals and have a nice chat. Indoor/outdoor seating great for bigger groups. They light this place so pretty around the holidays. You can’t miss it, just look for the pretty RED building.

When you hear of Rhinebeck it’s usually shown with a photo of The Beekman Arms -The oldest Inn in America. This is one of our cold weather date night locales. Great drinks in a cozy pub with next to a fireplace. They do have a front dining room that feels a bit too fancy for my taste. Much better to request the back bar. Wooden tables and cozy high booths. Great steak frites! Be sure to get the bearnaise sauce for maximum decadence. PRIMO SPOT!

Really great authentic Thai! We usually do takeout here. The restaurant is nice too, though I wish they’d dim their lights a tiny bit. I’m a sucker for ambiance as you can probably tell. Mick loves the chicken Pad Thai, and my go-to is the vegetable red curry.

Good sushi! It’s tucked out back and not on the main drag, so be sure to look for it. There’s another bigger sushi place more centrally located which feels like franchise sushi. We do NOT recommend that place! Great for takeout as well.

PIZZA!!! This is the only place you order from. It’s right in the village which is a 4 minute drive. Our go-to order is their “Brooklyn” Pizza. Must like prosciutto and garlic. Be sure to grab a great bottle of red wine next door. You’ll thank me for this suggestion, I promise.

This place is adorable with the best Veggie Burger ever! Their counter top will blow your mind with the cakes cookies and brownies. The Blondies are to die for! Joanna and Sam are the owners and take great pride in their little spot. Tell them Mick and Deb sent ya. This is a very quick 2 minute drive up the road.

I thought I made great Mexican food, AND I DO! But when we really want to treat ourselves we go here. Everything is SO good. Darnit, I’m getting hungry just writing this. It’s a 24min drive across the river to Kingston, and well worth it. On top of everything else the place is absolutely adorable and summertime has an outdoor seating area with a taco truck and giant Jenga game. Cannot recommend this place any higher.

It’s brand spankin new and we just went to test drive it out for you all. It did NOT disappoint! Sometimes the restaurants in Rhinebeck get a little crowded, this place has ambiance out the wazoo! Looks like an old timey gentleman’s club. Very dimly lit, but beautiful. Great cocktails and everything from starters to dessert was delicious. If you’re looking for a romantic place that you can almost always get a table (because nobody knows about it yet!) this is the place.

Sightseeing

“Two paws way up!” -Scooter We take our pup for walks here. It’s just 6 minutes south and the hikes are great for every season. Park right down by the water and take the WHITE trail. It’s a few miles right on the Hudson River. If you’re here for the fall you’ll cry it’s so pretty! The BLUE trails are also fantastic. Much to explore. Familiarize yourself with a map of trails ahead of time on your smart phone for a primo hike. If you go during the week you may feel like you have the whole place to yourself.
