Things other guests enjoyed in the area:
At Kilano Kove:
• Enjoying the private pool and the colorful sunsets
• Fishing off the dock
• Kayaking out of the inlet and stumbling across a school of gigantic manatees
• Paddling through the mangroves just outside of the cove. You can see so many fish!
The Hudson location is perfect for exploring around the area- not only is it super affordable, but you’re not in the midst of all the tourist chaos. If you want to venture out, everything is within an hour!
• Rent kayaks from Paddles Up and paddle to Three Sisters Springs
• Visit Tarpon Springs for tourist shopping and eat at Hella’s (try the broiler octopus and check out the bakery).
• Visit Homosassa Springs, which is a state park where you can see some of the native animals. It’s absolutely beautiful.
• Book kayaks (advance reservation is highly recommended) at Weeki Wachi Springs and see manatees up close and personal.
• Visit Honeymoon Island beach. The beach is a bit rocky and can be busy with other beach goers, but it is beautiful!
