Clewiston is a small agricultural farm surrounded by sugarcane fields, groves and farms for miles. You will find all basic necessities there, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Dollar Store, fast food, etc. There is a large Hispanic population, which is reflected in the vibrant culture and yummy local food options.

You definitely need a car to get around

The closest towns nearby are LaBelle, FL and Clewiston, FL, so make sure you budget at least 20 minutes to get into "civilization"!
What to pack

You're in the countryside

Make sure that you pick up all of your essentials before you make it out to the property. The nearest grocery store is a 20 minute drive, so be sure to grab everything you need for your cozy cabin getaway. The nearby gas station has emergency essentials, in case you need a snack or a phone charger on the fly.
Customs and culture

Floridian advice to live by

A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray are always recommended. We try and keep bug spray available for our guests, but it never hurts to be safe and pick some up. Apply BEFORE you think you need it- otherwise its going to be aloe vera and itch-cream that you're in need of.
