Koh Tan Cuisine is a great family run restaurant located in Thong Krut, a lovely little fishing village, only a 10 min drive away from Villa Sunstone. Very good food. Boat trip tours are also run from here. The owner is friendly and we are often told adds additional character to the place. Service can be slow sometimes, but good place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

Koh Tan Cuisine is a great family run restaurant located in Thong Krut, a lovely little fishing village, only a 10 min drive away from Villa Sunstone. Very good food. Boat trip tours are also run from here. The owner is friendly and we are often told adds additional character to the place. Service can be slow sometimes, but good place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

Bang Kao Mix is a restaurant/bakery, run by a hospitable Thai lady and assisted by her husband. Everything cooked to order - always ask what is the day's special - very often they have freshly caught fish both freshwater and sea. This lovely eatery is a slow 15 minute walk along the beach from Coco's Bar(Stolland Resort at Laem Sur) in the opposite direction from the temple on the beach

Namuang Waterfall 2 is more impressive than Waterfall No 1, gushing from a height of 80m. What makes this waterfall so beautiful and picturesque is the jungle surroundings and the natural light penetrating the canopy. There is also 20m high fall twinned with the larger waterfall, with a pool suitable for swimming. It is only accessible by a trek through the jungle on foot or by elephant. Namuang Waterfalls are set in lush jungle surrounds, easily accessible just off the main ring road Route 4169 about halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach.

It’s a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere with the road closed to traffic and the popular market attracts Koh Samui residents as well as tourists. A great area for a stroll, look around, purchase souvenirs, eat, etc. Lots of atmosphere. Can become crowded.

There are pleasant small gardens to walk around for half hour, nice small waterfall and stone statues either side, which represents people in many poses and animals. There is a little river that runs through the gardens. Currently an 80 baht entrance fee. Cool and relaxing, and nature at its best
