Everyone knows how popular hardware stores are and when the ol brighton rd tool shop closed down (boo bunnings boo) the brave folks that took on the spot hit the nail on the head (ahem) with this joint (eh eh?). Good for coffee and brunch.

Oh my word those ham and cheese croissants. This placed used to be cash only and out of towners would cry when they got to the front of the line and missed out. There was dancing in the streets when they got eftpos. Sea salt baguettes highly recommended.

It's tiny, it's pink, it's a hidden gem. Authentic Vietnamese food that you can dine in or take-away (please please start doing uber eats!). It's BYO and right next door to the fantastic Scarborough cellars so everyone wins. Diced beef and vietnamese salad are our faves but there is also something served in a pineapple....

OK fish and chips, a vaguely interesting beer selection and weird decoration. DON'T STOP READING. The views in this place are unmissable. With the wraparound windows overlooking the beach, I could sit here with a plate of cold chips and a glass of water all day!

A great little food market with excellent fruit and vege, pre-prepared meals, coffee, flowers and an amazing cheese section. Not a daily adventure for the budget conscious.
