My favorite beach and possibly one of my favorite places in Tenerife. Located in Parqué Rural de Anaga. Dramatic sceneries. Visit Taganana and Almaciga too, small villages on the way to Benijo. It’s a Must! In Benijo you can eat at Casa Paca- it’s not a restaurant, it’s more like Paca’s house- she has had this place for over 3 decades. If she is busy or running the place on her own it helps if you give her a hand serving the food. She has pulpo (octopus) , potatoes, fish, garbanzos etc... good place to taste home food and very cheap. Paca is an icon and well loved by locals. (Avoid coffee ) There are other nice restaurants in Benijo, one it’s by the stairs down to the beach (El Mirador) and another one a bit further up (El Frontón) Getting around: the best way to get to Taganana-Almaciga-Benijo is by car- it’s about 45 min drive from Punta del Hidalgo (mountain roads)
