Downtown’s South Beach Park chronicles the local citrus industry. Vero Museum of Art and restaurants overlooking the Atlantic. Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge shelters brown pelicans. We have had a great time cycling along the historic Jungle Trail which was built in 1920, as a way to transport citrus to packing houses on the mainland.

What to pack

We are mostly sunny...

Rains are usually quick and delightful, yet you would like to have a light raincoat. Rarely gets below 55 degrees ever. Since most of Florida land is low, some areas for hiking and exploring will be somewhat soggy. Bring footwear that can handle some wet.
