Just a 10 minute drive south on M22, Empire is a cute small town with a thriving main street. Local artisans populate most store fronts, including our favorite chocolatier, The Grocer's Daughter. The town in sandwiched in by Sleeping Bear, sits alongside beautiful spans of Lake Michigan and is surrounded an array of hiking trails.

Food scene

Traverse City may be a foodie paradise but Glen Arbor also has a number of delicious options.
Only a 20 minute walk from the Round Haven property, enjoy exquisite french dining at this local favorite. "We love food, wine and hospitality. And a well made drink. And local ingredients because they are beautiful and delicious and we likely know the people behind the products. We love creating food experiences, the sorts of meals you linger over. The cuisine is still French country, which to Guillaume means simple food prepared really well." https://restaurantlabecasse.com/

Situated just off main street, Cherry Republic rests between Lake Michigan and Big Glen Lake. Locally crafted, cherry inspired and infused food, beer and wine served inside as well as out. Offers much for families, seniors and youths alike. "In the magical land of Cherry Republic, Glen Arbor reigns as our Motherland. It was in this sleepy village many years ago our company was born among sparkling lakes, deep forests, and the abundant cherry orchards of Leelanau County. The borders of our empire have expanded, yet Glen Arbor remains the place of our origin, where Bob Sutherland's dream of spreading cherry joy took root." https://cherryrepublic.com/locations/glen-arbor/
