Food Scene

When I lived in Bairro Alto it was my meal place. The food is great and also the price. In weekends is crowded, so arrive early or its better to go on weekdays. It's popular and noisy like it should.

Everybody knows Brasileira because of Fernando Pessoa, but in Rossio you will find another Café that you can't miss. The interior design is Art Deco. It's my favourite Café in Lisbon.

Inside Parque Mayer (the theatre quarter built in the 20's and abandoned in the 90's when a lot of the theatre fell down because they where abandoned) you can find Gina. It's not cheap but not expensive also and the food is popular and very good. You can eat inside or outside.

I don't go to big shops like Decathlon. If you need sports stuff try Casa Senna. It doesn't have everything but it might have what you need.

When Mr. Cortiço died, his grandsons inherited lots of tiles produced by their grand father and they decided to create this shop. For us portuguese this tiles are part of our collective imaginary since we have seen them in so many buildings specially in the 60's, 70's and 80's. In my opinion this is a super must.
