$$-$$$ Italian, Pizza, International - Ranked #10 of 114 restaurants in Sayulita on Trip Advisor. A must while in Sayulita. It’s right downtown close to the plaza. The place is really stunning, service is good, but the food is the real treat. They have wood fired pizza, great cocktails, salads, and my favourite, the mussels in a white wine cream sauce. La Rústica looks out onto the street, so great people watching as well.

$$-$$$ Italian, Veggie Options, Gluten Free Options - Ranked #1 of 114 restaurants in Sayulita on Trip Advisor. For a wonderful taste of homemade pasta - fata in casa, in Tuscany - try this small restaurant near the bridge. The pasta, chiefly linguine and gnocchi, is made to order and is memorable. Super sauces too. A great wine list, somewhat pricey, but the house wine was quite acceptable. Seating inside or on the street. Very pleasant staff rounds out a great Italian experience in Mexico.

$$-$$$ Deli, American, International - Ranked #14 of 114 restaurants in Sayulita on Trip Advisor. If you tire of taco's, Ruebens is a great alternative. All of their sandwiches are delicious. We usually get the Turkey Club or the BLTA. For 110 pesos you cannot go wrong. All the sandwiches come with a side of salad to top it off and make it a meal. Also they do a mean teriyaki bowl, or teriyaki salad.

Local Tour Companies

$$ Ranked #6 on Trip Advisor. Mexitrek Eco adventures. Want to stay on the land? You can join they’re daily tours, which have a personalized atmosphere for smaller groups where you really get to know the area, your guide, and fellow travellers. They also specialize in private tours for bigger groups such as retreats and wedding parties where they’ll work with you to create your ideal experience, whether that is full of adventure or relaxation. They also do water tours as well, but I think you’d be better off with Chica Locca tours for that. I haven’t done Monkey Mountain yet, but it’s definitely on the list!
