Vegetarian cuisine. A rage among Gomerans: 11€ for vegetables only!!! but much loved among tourists, including me. A traditional farmers meal with salad, soup, gofio, mojo picon and almogrote. Desert of leche asada included. Open untill 20:00, perfect for after a walk in the Garajonay National park.

Parks & Nature

Great for hiking. Go higher up when it's too hot in the valley. There's a book (in Dutch, sorry about that) and a hiking map in the house. Best site on the net = senderos de la Gomera.

Well protected beach where you can swim all year. More small beaches further along the coast. In San Seb take the direction of 'La Lomado' and follow the road that runs along the coast, mostly deserted beaches.

There are no bikes for rent in Hermigua and the offer in San Sebastian (where the ferry lands) is poor. However, our friend Jesus ships the bike of your choice to San Sebastian, where Alberto from rent-a-car Mulagua will hand it over to you, at no extra cost. Ask for a rack for bikes to be put on your car. We will be happy to help with the reservation.
