Razgledavanje

The cit of Split was built on residential palace of roman emperor Diocletian. He was one of the most important emperors of Roman empire and first ever who abdicated his throne. After abdiction he came to live in his residence in Split. Today, one of the greates monuments of Roman time, one of the pearls of Mediterranian - the strict center of Split -will for sure make you want to stay more or come back again.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, than Marjan is the place to go to. Amazing views, great beaches, sport climbing spot, jogging paradise and more than 10 smal churches that are dating back fro 11 - 15th century, are making Marjan the place to visit. My favourite place in the city, and igf you take time and visit it, you will understand why. :) If needed ill give you some more tips.

If you ask me - the best beach in town. Two really good beach bars, baldahins, kayaks and "floating animals" for rent. Available with public transport, e bikes/ bikes or on foot

Gastronomska scena

This is my favourite place to go when i eat out. Why i love it?! Great local cuisine, good portions, reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. You will see menu written by a hand and that is because they set it each day or two, depending on what they find on green market/fish market, local butcher shop. Anyhow, definitely my number one choice. Just keep in mind that they don't take the reservations.

Polish guy came to Split and opened this ice cream shop. It didnt took a long time for everybody to get crazy for his ice creams. They are really different than others. Really suggest to try it!

City advice

Don't miss

Explore the palace

Look in all directions, even the floor! the town is fuul of details. Once you are on Peristyle ill suggest to climb up the belltower of the Chatedral
Getting around

e bikes!

The strict center is car free zone, and you can easly get anywhere on foot. But e bikes are also a great idea! especially to go to some of the beaches around Marjan hill.
Customs and culture

Tip the waiter if he/she was polite and good

Tips are not included in price, and its always aprecciated to tip the waiter.
Travelling with kids

Use baby carrier when walking around the Palace

As i have a small kid, if you will need any info, feel free to ask :) Anyhow, i would say its better to use baby carrier than strolers, when walking around the Palace and strict cit center.
What to pack

Sunglasses, sunscreen and swimwear! :)

But dont forget to bring your clothes also :) its forbidden to walk around the strict city center and Palace in our swimwear, and you can even get a fine for doing it so. So, sggestion is to put some clothes on and take it off once you are at the beach. At the end, you are walking trough the great history site, so show some respect to the old lady - Split :)

Anyhow, if you are interested contact me for suggestions (was working as an adventre tour guide before) and maybe some discount :)
