City advice

Getting around

Make sure to get to the beaches early!

Parking is limited in Tahoe and people often resort to parking on the sides of the highway 50. Get to the beach early, bring an extra layer (its cold in the mornings) and snag your spot!
What to pack

Pack layers and comfortable shoes

The weather in Tahoe will change throughout the day every day. The mornings and evenings are chilly but the days are beautiful and sunny. Bring layers and comfortable shoes for hikes and lots of walking.
Ways to save

Get gas in Carson City, NV before coming to Tahoe

Gas is more expensive in the Tahoe area and in California. Fill up in Carson City if you're coming in from Reno
Don't miss

Don't miss all the amazing scenery and views

Take a hike! Even if its a short one to see the most amazing views.
