A London institution since the 1970s has now expanded beyond its Soho branch, there’s also a branch in King’s Cross. It’s vegetarian but a lot of the items are vegan or can be made vegan

Something that is a particular London quirk is Irish pubs that serve Thai food. I don’t know how it started or why, but it’s a great idea.

My favourite local Vietnamese is CôBa on York Way, they do amazing cocktails and the biggest prawn toast you have ever seen.

A personal favourite of mine. The toilets have questionable cleanliness, but they have good beer, a pool table, excellent décor and bands playing upstairs

One of London's many green spaces, on a clear day you can see the shard at London bridge. Challenge yourself and run all the way to the top and adopt a Rocky stance at the top!

Great for food, this space is great on a sunny day. Tip – the halloumi fries are amazing! Take a boat trip up the canal through Regents Park and past the zoo

The Stables used to be a horse hospital and, well, stables. It has now been transformed into a warren of market stalls, food retailers, bars, night clubs and high end restaurants. Tip – You need to go to Cyberdog at least once in your life. The Amy statue is disappointing, I’d give it a miss and head to one of her former hangouts – The Hawley Arms.

If you start at Camden Town tube station and head up Chalk Farm Road – there’s plenty to see a lot of it is the same and prices are negotiable so haggle if the shop owner seems friendly. The market on the right is OK, but you’ll find more unusual and unique things in the other markets. There are plenty of piercing and tattoo shops along this street, I recommend Cold Steel for piercing.

You’re on Camden Square, former home of Amy Winehouse, the location of the London Irish Centre and host to many location filming days. There is way more to Camden than just the market and gig venue, but let’s start with the reason you probably booked this area.
