Cultural Sites

Heptonstall is a small hill side village above Hebden Bridge. It can be quite a difficult walk to get there but it is worth it. Up there you will find the grave of the famous writer Sylvia Plath. The church she is buried in has the ruins of its earlier version next to it, which is a very unusual site.

Sightseeing

Hardcastle Craggs is the local National Trust park. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Hebden. It’s an amazing place that they call ‘Little Switzerland’, there is also food and drink available in the converted mill.
