City/town information

A lovely little village 15 miles from Perth. Once the medieval ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop's of Dunkeld. In lovely grounds sweeping down to the River Tay is the old Abbey, while the town provides gift shops, cafes and a hotel for lunch, dinner and refreshments.

Neighbourhoods

Perth is steeped in its own history. The areas of particular historical interest may not be as evident these days, but they do make an appearance here and there. I would be very happy to show you around the more interesting parts of the town centre and give you a glimpse of Perth through the centuries.

City advice

Getting around

Perth; the historical Capital of Scotland

Perth is a small but perfectly interesting historical City. Established as a Royal Burgh in the 14th century, Perth has been at the heart of the history of this nation for centuries. In addition to its myriad amenities, Perth is an excellent gateway for day trips by train to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. Perth is also a great starting point for visitors travelling up north through the central belt towards Inverness, or to Aberdeen on the coastal route.
