A favorite of famous jockeys and trainers. Wagner’s Pharmacy is a must try for anyone staying at The Churchill Cottage. This is a dinner style resturant and we love everything on the menu! We would have to recommend the omelets if you’re there for breakfast. If you happen to be there for lunch on a Friday, you must try the fish.

Everything, and I mean everything, is great here. If you love tacos, go here! It’s located just 2.6 miles from The Churchill Cottage and we highly recommend. My favorite is the fish tacos, but have liked everything I have tried.

This place has a large selection of beer on tap and has some great eats also. The Boys in Blu pizza and the BBQ Chicken Nachos are our favorites. This kind of has a sports bar atmosphere but not as many TVs as you might be accustomed to in a traditional sports bar.

Located Downtown on Whiskey Row. This place is great. It’s a BBQ joint and an oyster bar. We have never had the oysters because the BBQ is too good to pass up. The brisket and pulled pork are great. Try the Bubba Burger if your’re up for a challenge. The sides are all good, but we usually go with some of the more traditional BBQ sides like baked beans, cole slaw and Mac-N -Cheese. If you are looking for a great starter, the nachos are killer. They call them Heap -N-Chips on the menu. It’s Doc’s potato chips plated nacho style covered in pull pork or beef brisket and your typical nacho condiments.

Great area of hiking, running, bike riding and parks to play. Be sure to check out the Pumpkin Spectacular during Halloween and The Winter Woods Light Show during the winter. During covid both events have been drive through only and are a great was to social distance, but still get out and celebrate the holidays and see the town.

During the winter this area of town has an amazing outdoor ice skating rink with a hot chocolate bar close by. Look up Paristown Ice Skating on Facebook and check out the times of operation and theme nights.

This year they started the Winter Illuminations Walking Trail where you walk through the park and see different Christmas light structures. It is safe and socially distanced. Tickets must be purchased in advance on their website.

It’s a great place for kids to get some extra exercise during those cold winter months! They have obstacle courses, trampoline basketball and a great dodgeball court!
