Beautiful spot, a bit far from the center but it is definitely worth a visit around sunset time. The only way to get there is ,unfortunately, by driving or taxi since there are no buses available for this area of the island. There is nothing around the Lighthouse (restaurants/grocery stores) so it is highly recommended that you get some supplies with you!

It's again a place for the museum fans, but not just them! This island is located just next to Mykonos, about 20 minutes boat ride. The island itself is beautiful, and its history is the main reason Mykonos got as popular as it is today!

Γειτονιές

Ano mera is a small village located about 15 minutes ride from Mykonos old Town. It has a lot of traditional greek restaurants (tavernas) and it feels a bit more local than the rest of the island which is highly touristic!

City advice

Getting around

The best option is definitely renting your own vehicle!

Renting a bike or a car is a convenient and nice way to explore the island since you don't have to rely on any schedule, but there are still buses available that are going to the most famous and worth-seeing places of the island so there is no need to worry if you are not willing to drive in Mykonos! The main bus station(Fabrica) is just down the street from the accommodation! Taxis are a bit hard to find, if you need any assistance you can contact us in reception at any time!
Ways to save

General ways to save!

1) do not use private drivers (use buses or ask reception to find the cheapest possible ride for you). Unfortunately uber is not available in greece 2) Try picking more traditional restaurants and not the most fancy ones. The quality of the food will probably be the same but you will end up paying 3-4 times the price on a fancy restaurant. 3)Use a greek sim card! internet is quite cheap in Greece, so if you're from outside the EU you should consider getting a greek card for the trip (with about 10 euros you can get up to about 2 gb of internet use)
Book before you go

For the party-goers!

If you are planning to go on any of the following places around the peak season please be warned that you might have to think about reserving a place long before coming! 1) Scorpios 2)Alemagou 3)Principote 4)Nammos These four beach club-restaurants are really popular and it is truly hard to find a table when they have a big party! Scorpios and Alemagou you will probably need to request a reservation 2-3 weeks before your arrival, the other two a couple of days before would be okay!
