Our house is situated next to the old port of La R-B within 100m. of restos and bars overlooking the marina. More places to eat and drink are just up the hill in the old town. Good market Thurs. am. Shops , galleries and museums also in town, as are supermarkets ,butchers and bakers. Good set circular walks and routes for bikes in and around the town. Sailing available for hire as well as canoes, electric boats and bikes. Good beaches nearby , our favourite at Penestin. The thousands of standing stones at Carnac is a must day out just north of Vannes.

La Roche Bernard is a vibrant town in southern Morbihan , with good varied food places and great walking routes, positioned on the south shore of the Villaine estuary. All along this shoreline are pretty villages and ports with fresh fish and great shellfish as well as markets and beaches. There are many footpaths along the shoreline , and inland , that give wonderful views out to sea and the islands. Music festivals throughout the summer.
