David Street Station is in the heart of the historic downtown of Casper. (4 mins away) In the summer, there are concerts, movie nights, art walks, and a splash pad. In the winter, there is an outdoor ice skating rink from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day.

Park here for brief hike to Casper Waterfall. Rotary Park is a 10 minute drive toward Casper Mountain. After parking in the lot, take a 5 minute hike to enjoy this beautiful waterfall. (Caution: Hike can be snowy and icy in winter.) On your way back from the falls, cross the bridge and follow steep, rugged steps up the mountain to one of 2 lookout points that allow you to see all of Casper and the surrounding area. From this parking lot, you can access the Bridle Trail, a 3-4.5 mile trail for hiking, snowshoeing, or mountain biking, including passing through "Split Rock." Three-mile loop is a moderate hike and family-friendly, although the beginning and end are steep.

This is the best museum in town and it's FREE! (9 mins) Get a sense of place and go back in time. Try to pull a handcart, simulate a river crossing in a wagon, or bump along in a stage coach. Hands on, multi-sensory and experiential. Learn about the 4 great trails: the Oregon Trail, the Mormon Trail, the California Trail, and Pony Express. Highly recommended for history lovers.

Eggington's is my favorite place for breakfast in Casper. It can get a little crowded, but is worth the wait... and the weight. Try the cinnamon roll French Toast with fresh squeezed orange juice or the Huevos Eggington's. Large portions. In the heart of historic downtown Casper.

This is the nicest restaurant in town. Nice classy, western yet modern ambiance. (15 mins away, East side of town.) It can get a little crowded. Great steaks, buttered rolls, & firecracker shrimp appetizer. For lighter fare, try the grilled shrimp and strawberry salad.
