The medieval village of Caylus nestles in the beautiful Bonnette Valley on the border between Quercy and Rouergue. Caylus is just 12 minutes drive from the farmhouse, complete with its own ruined castle, delightful cobbled streets, stunning church and lake where locals and tourists picnic and barbeque in the summertime. Caylus has a couple of excellent boulangeries, a fabulous butcher, a pizzeria, a creperie, grocery store, pharmacy bank and postoffice. There are also a number of authentic French bars, and a restaurant in the local hotel “La Renaissance”.

Narjac is a must visit treasure. The castle is phenomenal and the cobbled streets and medieval houses on the walk to the castle are gorgeous.
