This is my favorite coffee shop in town. It is a cute little house next to the historic Sheridan Inn. They have a great, welcoming atmosphere, friendly employees, yummy pastries and the best coffee in town!

Another coffee favorite. I love the atmosphere in this shop. The owners also have a buffalo ranch east of town and the coffee shop and all merchandise is to help support ranch operations

birch restaraunt is a local favorite! They specialize in modern American cuisine with a twist. If you are looking to try something new, this is the place to go! And their cocktail menu is always a highlight!

This place is a staple. I have never had anything that I didn't like here. The atmosphere is pretty basic, but the food is fantastic. I would venture to say this is Sheridan's restaurant of choice. They also have a sunday brunch. Make reservations!

The beers here are so unique and this is typically the first stop most people make on their nightly outing. They almost always have a food truck outside and the beer is SO GOOD! For a heavier option, I would choose the Bomber Mountain Amber and for a light, summery option you have to go with the Copper Mule (twist on a moscow mule and probably my favorite beer of all time!)

This is a local AND tourist favorite! You can't miss it on Main St. I love this bar and the range of people in it. It is quite small, but the party is always happening here! This is the place where most people end up at the end of the night.

Sightseeing

This has to be one of my favorite places in Sheridan County! It is a little out of town, but if you get the chance, you must go! It is a beautiful drive out and it is worth the drive just to look at the building! Inside is an amazing art collection and a room dedicated to really cool indian artifacts. In the upstairs is an amazing restaurant, The Brinton Bistro (hint: if you say you are eating lunch, your admission to the museum is free). I believe right now, they are just serving lunches and Sunday brunch. Sunday brunch is my favorite, with an endless buffet and bottomless mimosas for around $15? (!!) The food is delicious, but even if they were to only served sliced bread, it is worth it to go hang out on the patio and enjoy one of the prettiest views of the Big Horn Mountain foothills!

One of my favorite summer activities - tailgating at the polo games!! The most beautiful polo fields you will ever see at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. Take some lawn chairs and sun screen and don't forget a bottle of bubbly or a pack of beer! Admission is almost always free and it's sure to be something different and a good time! Go to thebhec.org for schedules and special events. Don't miss out on the 4th of July fireworks and Don King Days if you are in town!

If you are looking to get out of Sheridan for a day and head up the mountain, this is one of my favorite hikes! It is quite a ways up for a drive, but it is beautiful when you get there. The hike is pretty steep on the way back up, so be prepared! But well worth the trip (a local secret)

This is one of the best and most accessible trails in Sheridan County. Go all the way to the end of the county road and you will find yourself in the Tongue River Canyon. A moderately easy hike is ahead of you. When you get to the bridge, keep going past it for a longer hike, or if you are feeling really adventurous, cross the bridge and go all the way to the end of that trail to make it up to the caves where many will go caving! It's only about a 20 min drive from Sheridan and you can be out and back in about 3-4 hours.
