Sightseeing

This is 12k from home and the reason why I fall in love with Normandy. A cute little town, with many artist's souls, cafe's, mule&frite, and cosy shops to find that special "something". It has been chosen as one of the 6th most love villages by French people.

Known for its boats and scenery waves, St Valery is great for a scenery walk and nice french wine in one of the local restaurants. Their market is on Saturday; And there is one of my favorite tea houses you must visit!

So beautiful and peaceful. Get your times for the high and low tide so you can enjoy to cross from one village to the other at the foot of the cliffs.

Neighborhoods

Ohhhh so many things about this village: another of my favorite cafes "La Maison de Jule". Best Linen shop (be prepare to spend sometime there)"Lin ou L'outre" https://www.linoulautre.com/fr/. And the BEST view at the Church overlooking at the cliffs...truly breath taking!

City advice

Book before you go

Restaurants

Always check if they are open and book if you can; just to be sure. Not that they are packed but locals do prefer that you book.
Ways to save

Boulangeries

Boulangeries are heaven for buggetes and delicious cakes! You can get them, bring a thermos and have a buttered buggete with "jambon" ham. If you are new to France and the region, any of these simple low cost delicatessen will make you smile inside out.
Getting around

Have a car or bike around

Is best if you have a car to go around; at least you are a serious biker. There is no public transport, and even if there was any; you would missed out the best part of the region; discovering all those tiny cute villages around.
What to pack

Thermos

If I was you, I would always bring a thermos with me. Sometimes cafes are closed very early and not that many in the country area; but also, you would want to stop just anywhere and enjoy the scenery with your favorite tea in hand.
What to pack

Warm Jacket

Even if it is sunny, as soon as the clouds cover the sun; it can be chilly, bring a jacket, or shawl with you so you can enjoy the scenery in warm spirit.
