Amazing handcrafted and locally made ice cream. Also has a great selection of dairy-free and vegan options. My recommendation? Try the affogato with a scoop of salted caramel and brown butter cookie, it's to die for.

A classic American/bar resturant experience. Mickduffs is a local favorite. Stop by for great burger and sandwich options, fun appetizers (like the gorgonzola cheese fries), and plenty of drink variety. It tends to be pretty busy, so don't expect to be in and out very quick. tip: they make their own rootbeer

A great breakfast/brunch/lunch option, City Beach Organics is a cozy cafe that has incredibly tasty wraps, melts, smoothies, and juices. Everything. EVERYTHING. is gluten-free and organic and made from scratch in the shop. My recommendation: The Pesto melt or the Rueben melt are both packed with great flavor. The sunset juice is just sensational and their chai and golden milk drinks are the best in town (imo).

Burger dock does burgers, fries, and shakes and they do them well. This is a newer spot that is quickly becoming a favorite. It is on the pricier side for a burger stop, but all their meats are locally sorced and grass fed and they have a lot of fun and unique options. Most importantly, it tastes GOOD. My recommendation: The Popper Burger, which has thick bacon, jalapeno slices, and a delicious jalapeno cream cheese (watch out, it is a tad spicey)

Lake spots

a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Sam Owen is a great lake spot with picnic spots, nice swimming area, and an Italian resturant/boat marina. Also, it tends to be a bit emptier. A quick heads up: if you want to park for free, there's parking at the top of the entrance and you can walk down. Otherwise, there is an $8 charge for parking closer to the lake.
