Lake in Moran State Park (you will need a park pass). There is a “beach” and swimming area for families and a place to rent boats. There is also a playground and a small concessions stand. There is a walking trail that goes around the entire lake and it is a very nice walk.

Turtleback Mountain Preserve
An excellent hiking location! There are several hiking trails to choose from.
As you enter the main town of Eastsound you will notice there is a small island right out in the water. During low tide a pathway appears and you can walk right out to the island. There are lots of tide pools on the island where you can generally see sea creatures. A great spot if you’ve got kids!
Be sure to know the tide schedule and keep an eye on the water when you are out there! If you aren’t paying attention and the tide comes back in, you will be stuck there for a while.

Every Saturday (during the summer) from 10-3 in the Village Green (park in the middle of Eastsound with a stage at the far end, you can’t miss it if you’re going through town). A must visit if you are here over the weekend. Lots of local artisans and food vendors.
