White Dog @ Ewhurst Green is best kept local secret with glorious views over Bodiam Castle from the garden off the back. Look out for pizza evenings over the summer. it's a comfortable 2hr walk ea way from Oast for lunch (easy to follow directions typed up waiting for you - why not take the terriers)?!

The Great House never disappoints - our kids loved the board games whilst waiting for food to arrive. Ameniable. Top staff. Really happy atmosphere

Historical Rye - best to recharge tired legs after good romp on Camber Sands and wandering the cobbled streets around market square

Historical Rye, one of the Cinque Ports (can you name the other 4)? A terrible fire ravaged the building later 2019 but fortunately less damage than originally thought. Currently under refurbishment but due to open Easter 2021. a favourite destination for us over the winter to sit in comfy sofas by crackling fires before/after sneeky Kino Cinema outing around the corner
